People Partner

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (DOE & Qualifications)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Van Mossel Jacksons as a People Partner.

With continued success and strong growth projections this is a great role for a HR professional to flex their skills and be involved in a variety of interesting projects.

Reporting directly to the Group Head of HR this hands-on role will be home based but may require travel to other locations in order to build relationships and support dealerships as needed. The group covers Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, and Isle of Wight.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Playing a key role in supporting and maintaining the right business culture, inclusive of promoting vision & values, equality & diversity, and the overall employee health & wellbeing proposition.

• Play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of effective people-focussed solutions, coaching senior leaders, and implementing best practices in people management.

• Function as a key point of contact for managers and department leads to provide support and guidance on all HR related topics.

• Provide expert advice on employee relations, managing complex issues such as disciplinaries, grievance, absence management, and performance management cases. Handles conflict situations effectively, with the minimum of noise.

• Lead and support HR Projects, inclusive of engagement surveys, Skills Matrices, or Organisational Change.

• Collaborate proactively with Senior Leaders and the Learning & Delivery Team to identify, design and deliver meaningful training to stakeholders.

• Promoting and coordinating employee performance reviews, including appraisals and salary reviews.

• Deliver high-quality, proactive advice and support across key HR policies and processes, including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, learning and development, employee engagement, wellbeing support, diversity, and inclusion.

• Responsible for the end-to-end recruitment and selection activity.

• Creates a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organisation achieve its objectives.

• Knows the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement. Skills and essential requirements.

• A CIPD qualification

• Extensive generalist HR experience, used to operating at an equivalent level.

• Proficient level of knowledge in employment law and applying it practically in the workplace.

• Passion for HR and People Development.

• An excellent communicator with strong relationship building skills.

• A high attention to detail.

• A solid business understanding and is commercially aware.
